Kimanzi's reappointment

Francis Kimanzi  has been  re-appointed as Harambee Stars head coach. He will now take charge of the team during the forthcoming regional Cecafa tournament that gets underway from December 31 in Uganda.

Kimanzi has been given one years contract by newly formed Football Kenya Limited (FKL). The period will also cover next years Africa Cup of Nations/World Cup qualifying matches. 

In his acceptance speech, Kimanzi said he was honoured to be re-appointed adding that the position is a great challenge for him. He said he will rely immensely with the teams impressive form and success to achieve his goals.

Kimanzi also announced he is retaining his entire technical bench which includes assistants Yusuf Chipo, James Nandwa and Dr Wycliff Makanga (Doctor).

While naming the coach, FKL Chairman Mohammed Hatimy said he was confident Kimanzi was equal to the task and can take the team to stardom.

Hatimy who was flanked by FKL Directors Titus Kasuve and Erastus Okul called upon Kenyans to rally behind the team. Also in attendance was FKL Secretary General Sammy Obingo and the entire Harambee Stars technical bench.
